Nothing reminds us of Marcel Duchamp (the patron saint of this magazine, who first coined the term “readymade") quite like the utilitarian bicycle wheel. Luckily for us, whether through upgrade, theft, or accident, abandoned bike wheels abound at flea markets, in thrift stores, and on sidewalks. In honor of Duchamp, we offer these two projects that make great use of spoked orphans.
