These textile “jewelry” bits and bobs are by wonder wonder, the brainchild of NYC-based artist/designer Hikaru Furuhashi.
I’m totally grooving on the hand-wrought, imperfectly-perfect vibe that appears to be existent in her whole body of work, and I especially dig her use of West African wax-print textiles in some of the pieces she makes (actually very chic right now; see this article on the recent trend for all things African in the NYT). I’ve long been a fan of said textiles; so, so, so very happy to be seeing them pop up more and more in the marketplace these days!
Also, being that I am a yarnworker (knitter and crocheter), jewelry that uses either craft, like the crocheted ball necklace and knitted knot necklace above, will always have a soft spot in my heart…literally!

Ha! I just posted about fibrous neckwear too. I love the knot necklace–so classy!
